Habitats include: coast, woodland, dune valleys, little lakes and open meadows. Because of the geographic location rarities regulary turn up in spring and autumn. Throughout the year many good birds can be found in The Netherlands, but some species simply do not occur in Holland every year or in very low numbers. Birders with a few days available may consider joining us on a 4 or 5 day tour in Germany, starting either in The Netherlands or in Germany. Depending on the time of year birds that can be found relatively easy in Germany include Great Bustard, Black Stork, Red Kite, Black Kite, Grey-headed Woodpecker, Hoopoe, Red-breasted Flycatcher and Barred Warbler.

Other
Birding Holland has more options to go birding than we can list here. If the location or trip of your choice is not listed in one of the main categories, you will find it here. Do you want to go birding longer, to a location that is not mentioned, do you want to be picked up in Belgium or Germany or dropped off at the place your relatives live? If you want to go birding in Europe outside The Netherlands, we can help you in e.g. Spain, Scotland, Germany or Bulgaria. These European tours can be combined to an European multi-nation trip!
