The provinces of Noord-Holland (Northern Holland) and Zuid-Holland (Southern Holland) are ideally located for a good day of birding if you are coming to Amsterdam airport or if you are staying in one of the major cities in this part of the country: Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Leiden or one of the surrounding cities.
Habitats include open meadows, woodland, dunes, lakes and the coast.

- Nightingale
- Eurasian Golden Oriole
- Snow Bunting
