100+ tours

100 + tours: seeing over 100 species of birds in a single day!

Did we already pass 100? I thought it was just a marketing promotion…

No it’s not. Our guides are the best birders in the country and know where and when to look for the birds. In one day we can show you over 100 species of birds and it doesn’t mean we stop there, we aim for more!

A few weeks a year it is possible to see over 100 species a day in the Netherlands. Usually this is possible between the end of April and the beginning of June. Of course, seeing over 100 species of birds in one day in Europe is not easy, it takes good timing, plenty of time, good weather, but above all, you have to know where the birds are.

Our guides know where the birds are and we have proven to be able to break the magical barrier of 100 birds in a day. Our record for a one day 100+ tour with clients stands on 128 (without spending time watching seabirds as dots on the horizon) and we have done this several times! Several of our guides have even seen well over 160 species of birds in one single day in Holland.

This will be a full day of birding, starting very early in the morning and ending very late in the evening. Of course this means we will spend a full day of intensive birding and we will not spend time on a three-course lunch. Only by birding this long will it be possible to break 100.
